Robert Pelosi, NCC., BCETS, LCMHC is a psychotherapist and clinical consultant with over 25 years of experience in helping individuals and families to grow. Combining techniques from a wide array of psychological disciplines, Pelosi gently assists those he works with to become their best, offering a delicate combination of support and challenge, and the tools to meet those challenges. Our treatment is underscored by a deep belief that everyone wants to do his or her best. Kids in trouble want to do their best, but often can’t or don’t know how. Violence Risk Assessments
Schools and agencies face an increasing need to identify youths who may be at risk for episodes of interpersonal violence. In response to increasing requests for assessments of the violence potential of particular adolescents, Bob Pelosi has now made available a specific protocol. This protocol is appropriate for select individuals from the ages of 12 to 18 who have been identified by schools, courts and/or social service agencies as potentially at risk for a violent act.
The assessment includes an individual interview with the child, an interview with the parent(s) and/or significant parental figures, an interview with the child's teacher(s), the administration of three assessment tools, and a detailed writeup of the results. The
About Bob
Robert A. Pelosi, NCC, LCMHC, BCETS is a clinician, writer and consultant. His clinical background extends over twenty-five years of work with kids and families with multiple disabilities. He specializes in intervention with children and families with traumatic stress, domestic violence, attachment disorders and special needs. Bob is a National Certified Counselor by the National Board for Certified Counselors, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (VT) and licensed in New York. He holds a Master’s Degree in Human Services, and a two-year post-Master’s Certification in Gestalt Therapy.
